New Film Series

We are extremely pleased to announce a new film series at The Crown at The Carolina Theatre of Greensboro beginning August 18, 2014. The series is entitled Critic’s Choice Cinema at The Crown, and will be hosted by Greensboro Film Critic and historian Budd Wilkins. The Crown has outstanding film screening capabilities, and the format will include an introduction to the film and post-screening discussion with the audience.

The first four films are a continuation of The Carolina Theatre’s Summer Film Festival Hitchcock nights:

August 18 at 7pm – REAR WINDOW
August 25 at 7pm – THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY
Sept 15 at 7pm – ROPE
Sept 22 at 7pm – SHADOW OF A DOUBT

Other films, dates and screening times will be announced.

The Crown at The Carolina Theatre is on the 3rd floor. Seating for Critic’s Choice Cinema at The Crown will be very limited. The Crown has full concession capabilities right in the screening room so no need to miss a scene while visiting concessions. Tickets are available in advance at The Carolina Theatre box office or night if show and are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, students, military, and children under 12.

We encourage those with a keen interest in a unique type of film experience to join us. We will be giving away door prizes, asking for your suggestions of films you might like to see and giving everyone a chance to speak about their take on films being screened.

Please come out and support this new Greensboro cultural experience at the beautiful and historic Carolina Theatre of Greensboro.
